Syed Adil Hussain Shah, who used to take tourists from the car park to the Besran Maidan in Pahalgam on his horse, which can only be reached on foot, was shot dead while trying to fight off a terrorist. He had tried to save the tourist he had brought to the spot.
27 people have been killed in this attack by the terrorists and many tourists are injured and undergoing treatment. This attack was very dangerous as the terrorists have killed the tourists in a barbaric and cruel manner. The terrorists asked the tourists about their religion and even made them take off their clothes to forcefully recite the Kalima and later shot them in the head.
The attack took place at around 2:45 pm in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Home Minister Amit Shah paid tributes to all the martyrs in the attack in the morning. The Home Minister had reached Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night where he met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah along with top officials in Srinagar.
Prime Minister Modi had also returned to India after a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and immediately after his arrival, he had a meeting with all the officers and ministers at the airport, including External Affairs Minister S.J. Shankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
